What are the different types of sunscreens?

Mineral Sunscreens: Reflect and scatter UV radiation. Common ingredients include zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
Chemical Sunscreens: Absorb UV radiation and convert it into heat, which is then released from the skin. Common ingredients include avobenzone, octocrylene, octinoxate, and homosalate.
Hybrid Sunscreens: Combine chemical and physical ingredients for broad-spectrum protection.
Is Surf Zinc eco-friendly or reef-safe sunscreens?
Yes, our Surf Zinc uses a mineral-base formula that is designed to be reef-safe. We use non-nano Zinc oxide and Titanium dioxide that are not harmful to the environment. We also avoid ingredients harmful to coral reefs, like oxybenzone and octinoxate.
Are Mineral-based sunscreen safe for children?
Yes, mineral-based or Physical sunscreens are safe for children. Mineral filters like Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are considered the most suitable for their sensitive skin.
What is water-resistant sunscreen?
Water-resistant sunscreen is designed to maintain its SPF protection for a specified period while you are sweating or swimming. It’s important to reapply it after swimming or heavy sweating.
How long does Surf Zinc last on my face?
Surf Zinc is formulated to last for up to 4 hours.
What is the expire date?
Our products have been tested and proved to last for up to 2 years. It is highly suggested to avoid extreme temperature changes which can have an impact on certain ingredients.
